VOLO Account & Data Deletion Policy

In compliance with Google Play User Data policies and privacy standards, this page provides explicit instructions and a direct submission form for users to request the permanent deletion of their VOLO account and associated personal data.

You do not need to log into the mobile app. Submit your registered mobile number below to initiate account deactivation and data purging.

How to Delete Within App

If you have the VOLO mobile app installed on your Android device, you can delete your account instantly from your profile:

Open the VOLO App on your device and log in.
Tap the Profile tab in the bottom navigation.
Scroll to the bottom of the profile screen to the Danger Zone.
Tap “Delete Account & Data”.
Confirm the prompt. Your active session will terminate, and all data will be queued for permanent purging.

Data Retention & Permanent Deletion Breakdown

In accordance with Google Play developer guidelines, below is the transparent disclosure of data types permanently purged versus data retained for mandatory legal compliance.

Data That Is Permanently Deleted

Profile Information: Full name, mobile number, email address, profile avatar.
Location & Delivery Addresses: Saved home/office addresses and GPS coordinate markers.
Authentication Security Credentials: Security PIN hashes, hardware session tokens, trusted device identifiers.
Push Notification Tokens: Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) device registration tokens.
Worker KYC Documents: Uploaded identity cards (Aadhaar/PAN) and selfie verification photos.

Data Retained for Statutory Legal Compliance

As an on-demand marketplace operating in India, VOLO is legally mandated by the Goods and Services Tax (GST) Act and the Companies Act, 2013 to retain financial transaction records:

Tax Invoices & Billing Records: Retained for 7 years for government tax audits.
Payment Transaction IDs: Razorpay/Cashfree order and transaction reference codes.
Financial Ledger Entries: Historical commission records and payout audit logs.

* Note: Retained financial records are fully decoupled from your active profile and retained strictly in an encrypted archive for audit purposes.

Retention Period & Processing Window

Upon submitting a request, your account is immediately deactivated and placed into a grace period. All personal identifiable information is completely scrubbed from active production databases within a maximum of 30 days.
